Easter has a bunny, Christmas has Santa and Reindeer, Valentines has Cupid and hearts - even New Years has a ball that drops and a countdown... Mothers Day has nothing.

Sure I know, Mother's Day has mom. But can I put that on a Hallmark Card? Can I use a picture of my Mother to graphically represent this occasion the same way Santa and the Easter Bunny signify their happy events?

What new rituals and traditions are emerging for Mother's Day? What symbols must come?

My family just gives Mom a card and flowers - not much really.  Being State Workers mostly, we kinda ignore 'holidays' that don't give us a day off from the grind.   Wink
