I was hoping maybe some of the other campers on here were also into privy digging, fossil hunting, rock collecting, mineral prospecting and general relic hunting in old barns and fence rows all over North America?

What have you guys ever found out there in the great outdoors?

Here's a shot of me last weekend digging a historic dump here in Ontario, Canada.

Howdy, Arob!
I haven't done digging, but we occasionally find things in the woods.  I found an old rusty oil lamp once, though not an 'antique I'm sure!  I cleaned it up and it's useable now.
My sister did find some old clay pots in her property when clearing it - they were used long ago to collect pine sap.

A co-worker hunts for Indian relics - tools more so than the classic 'arrowheads'.  I've learned much from him, and always look closer at rocks now.  Have yet to find anything though . . .
We do have an area here that was a Civil War Battle site - but it's been well-picked-over.

I just posted Part Three, the exciting conclusion of  Bottle Rush in Meaford on my Dumpdiggers blog at http://dumpdiggers.blogspot.com

Here I tried to make each post as informative as it is entertaining. This adventure series was fun to write, and I hope to bring a lot more tales like this your way in the coming months...

I hope this final post closes this thread properly and serves as my adventure story of introduction.
