New Guy signing aboard.

Hello,
I have begun camping in the last couple years, mostly on motorcycle road trips. I find I like the MC campgrounds far better than the KOA type. Friendly and quiet, lots of comradery and tech help if needs be. Got to see some awesome scenery up in the Blue Ridge area of NC last year.
Lately, I have been taking to the local woods, as my bike is a "dual sport" - on and off road type. Modified for cargo carrying, I can take all the gear I need for an extended weekend trip. I bought my property close to the National Forest, and can be into the woods in five minutes. This bike can get me into the rough away from the dirtroads - blessed solitude!
Just today, I got the idea to google up some camping forum sites, and this one looks to be the best of the bunch! I hope to learn much here, and maybe contribute some too.
As to me, I'm a 50 year old Computer Analyst for the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee, Fl. Ex-military, but that was many moons ago. Didn't get to camp much on shipboard. Dad took me camping as a youngster, but I have finally begun to enjoy it again.
