Hi,
I like to crochet little square potholders.  I don't know any special types of designs, but I can crochet in a square.  I've heard that is the essential part of moving on up to more detailed patterns, but I haven't taken it to the next level yet.

What hobbies or crafts do you like to do?

I've tried crocheting, but also haven't gotten much beyond potholders.  Wink
But I also enjoy genealogy and Geocaching.  Along with my son & husband's activities (and my job, of course), those pretty much take up all of my free time.

In my country it is rare to find a man crocheting.  Mostly it is the women who do.  I guess it is a macho thing.  Or culture,if you may.  I tried a few times and never got the knack of it.  But I am good at poems.  I used to write them for everything, but I have given up now.  Here's a quick one

In my youth I wrote a lot
For every girl I met
And though I tried, against my pride
I never could crochet

For the moment I don't have much time... My little daughter takes a lot of time and an active young boy doesn't help.
But soon I will restart some activities / hobbies.

I don't know how to crochet, it looks pretty complicated with all the different types of patterns and all.  But I really enjoy sewing and making quilts.  I also make hair bows for my daughter. I have been selling  on Ebay, which gives me the  opportunity to stay home with my kids, which I really enjoy. I also like to make all types of crafts, if I see something I like I will try to make it myself.

As a kid I also did some art and craft. I learnt to do many things since it was a course in my high school.  So I can paint a little, or I should say really fair.  I can do some silhoute drawing, build floral boquete and even create posters.

I have not done any of these lately and they used to be so much fun.  I will start painting again once I get my forum running.

My primary hobbies . . .

1) Scale Modeling, mostly military aircraft, ships and armor.  More classic musclecars lately though.

2) Adventure Motorcycling - on road and off road.

3) Collecting and shooting both vintage twentytwo rifles and surplus guns.

4) Photography - started with an old Pentax K1000 SLR, now moving into digital.

I don't crochet.  My grandmother use to.  Every Christmas she would ask my brother and Sisters and I what are favorite color was and she would make us slippers and blanket throws.  I wish she had tought me to pass down the tradtion.  My hobbies are camping of course and off roading.  Taking pictures of off road racers and volanteering for San Diego Off Road Magazine.
