My husband and I have camped for many years all over this great land of ours.  Tent camping can be a  lot of work, but totally worth it, when you consider how many dollars you're saving in these scary times.  We've been able to see more, go further and stay longer.  I'm looking forward to interacting with the other campers on this site!!

I'm new to the site, also from Illinois! Getting married in 2010 and really hoping to get more plugged into camping.  My fiance loves the outdoors but hates wind (not a good think to hate in central IL!).  I think as long as we have some pretty good gearl, she'll be in good shape.  I also recently got a kayak and I'm looking forward to putting that to more use next year.

Hi,how are you doing in Illinois ? I just drove thru there last week. At least it's getting cooler there,not like Florida. I'm still sweating here. Lots of nice scenery in southern Illinois off I24. I just wish they'd hurry up and get rid of that split speed limit. I hate driving 55 mph. Well, anyway nice meeting you,hope you enjoy our campground.
