Hi All,

I spend a few weeks a year doing some remote camping.  Paddle or hike in.  Drinking water comes from what ever lake or river is near by.  I use my steri pen or a filter to clean it up.

A couple months ago, I began my orthodontic treatment with Invisalign.  I'm an adult, had braces as a kid, but my teeth moved back, so now I'm shelling out a bunch of money to get this done again.  I'm doing it right too - taking good care of my teeth and the invisalign.

Every time I eat or drink anything except water, I take out the aligners, rinse them with water and then place them in a case.  After eating I brush the aligners and my teeth - and then put the aligners back in.  Running water is pretty critical to keep them CLEAN.  Just a swish with water is ok for a snack out and about - but to not have running water for a week...  I'm worried not so much about funky breath for the week of camping, but possible decay.  Not wearing them for a week is not an option.  They must be in my mouth for about 20 hours a day, every day.

I'm looking for a light and compact way to get some sort of "running" water with a little bit of pressure.  My only idea so far is to use a bottle with a squirt top.   Huh

Any ideas to get some sort of water flowing would be greatly appreciated.  It'd have to be small and light as I don't like to carry the kitchen sink!

Thanks!

Amber

All I can really suggest is a small hand-held pump sprayer, similar to the ones used for pesticide applications.

They have compact household models available at some hardware stores. These sprayers would be a bit bulky for backpacking, but would probably stow nicely in a canoe or kayak.

The only other thing I could think of would be a squirt gun. I hope this helps you out!
