Great article for making good camp coffee!  Never knew you have to put cold water into your hot coffee to get the grounds to settle.

That's interesting gear to lug along from home.  Fortunately Starbucks sells packaged instant that has superb taste (we make homemade cafe sua da from asian beans  so we think we  know good coffee) so all that's needed is boiling water and a cup.

I don't know why camp coffee tastes so delicious.  Does some of the campfire smoke enter the coffee?  Or maybe it is because we are breathing the campfire smoke, and all that fresh air.  Whatever it is, I sure look forward to it.  My first time having it was at a neighbors site.  We had just pulled in on a rainy day and we were offered a cup.  I remember the incident because his car was covered with a Car wrap and they aren't usually seen at campsites.

I cheat and use my Jetboil with the coffee press attachment. No waiting for grounds to settle.

KK........at home I drink tea pretty much exclusively.
In an effort to simplify life at the campsite I drink coffee along with the rest.
Not sure if it tastes particularly good cuz of the caffeine spike or surroundings.

There's nothing like a good cup of coffee while you enjoy the outdoors, especially at night when the air starts to get a little bit chilly.
