This is the best air mattress I have found (and i have tried many) . It is the air mattress and collapsible frame from casbelas. I've only used it twice so far but it hasn't lost any air over two two day camping trips. A first for us! A little expensive ($149) but worth it when I consider all the other cheap ones I bought.

That looks very comfortable, but I'd use it at home or in a heated cabin because the hollow chambers inside suck warmth out of the sleeper - they will continue to get colder inside until they are the same temperature as the outside air.

This is true for all air mattresses. However we have a Big Buddy propane heater that keeps everything nice and cozy.

Ohhhhhh I so love that bed!
I bought one last year but only the frame as I already had a Coleman mattress.
The only problem I'm having is that sometimes the fitted sheet comes off in the middle of the night.
I'm hoping the solution to the problem is those elastic strips I used to see at Bed,Bath and Beyond.
Are you having the same problem w/ the Cabela mattress?

Oh and to the side you have good taste in rugs:D.
I bought one of those plastic foldable ones from QVC and it's so nice to walk on in the morning as well as clean.

Yes, as a matter of fact we do have the same problem with the sheets. The elastic straps seem like a great idea thanks! And yes, the carpet does make it much more comfortable and warm to walk around inside the tent.

I wish I could have a real rug but as I camp out of a rental car and live in an apt., I have to consider storage space at all times:).
Still, no matter how much equipment I put into the "Not going this time"' category, the Bed always goes. Not sure how I survived without it anymore Grin.
Oh and  here's a point of use storage trick I've learned: the mattress and bedding ( I use a duvet covered down quilt to replace bulky blanket(s) and top sheet) fit into the carrying case for the frame. Makes for less "Where oh where did I store that stuff?" thinking as well Wink.

We store the air mattress inside the storage bag so there's not much room left. So we use a comforter and put it in one of those vacuum space bags. (use the bed pump in reverse to deflate the bag on the way home)
